Aktis Scaffolding is a Wellington-based scaffolding company providing professional access solutions for residential homeowners, commercial developers, builders, painters, roofers, and construction companies. Our service area covers Wellington CBD, Kapiti Coast, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, and all surrounding suburbs and localities in the greater Wellington region.

We provide INTAKS-certified scaffolding installations that meet WorkSafe New Zealand standards for safe working at height. Our experienced team delivers scaffold systems for construction, renovation, painting, maintenance, and repair projects of all sizes and complexity.

These Terms of Service apply to all scaffolding and access services provided by Aktis Scaffolding, including but not limited to:

• Access scaffolding for residential and commercial construction projects
• Edge protection systems for roof work and fall prevention
• Temporary propping for structural modifications and demolition
• Temporary roofing for weather protection during construction
• Scaffold hire for painters, builders, roofers, and maintenance contractors
• Custom scaffold designs for challenging sites and complex projects
• Scaffold modifications and extensions during hire periods
• Emergency scaffolding services for urgent safety requirements

Safety Standards and Compliance

All scaffolding installations by Aktis Scaffolding comply with WorkSafe New Zealand regulations, New Zealand Building Code requirements, and industry best practices for working at height. Our scaffolders are INTAKS-certified and undergo regular training to maintain current knowledge of safety procedures and installation techniques.

We conduct thorough site assessments before every installation to identify potential hazards and determine the most appropriate scaffold design for your project. Safety documentation, including handover certificates and safety plans, is provided for all installations.

Quotation and Pricing Terms

Aktis Scaffolding provides free, no-obligation quotes for all scaffolding projects. Our quotes include detailed breakdowns of all costs including scaffold hire fees, delivery charges, installation labour, and dismantling costs. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified in writing.

Pricing may vary based on project complexity, site access conditions, scaffold height and configuration, hire duration, and any special requirements. We reserve the right to adjust quotes if site conditions differ significantly from information provided at the time of quotation.

Payment Terms and Conditions

Payment terms are specified in your quotation or project agreement. Standard residential projects typically require a deposit before installation with the balance due upon completion. Commercial projects and extended hire periods may have customised payment schedules.

We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, and other methods as agreed. Late payments may incur additional charges and may affect scaffold hire extensions. Scaffolding equipment remains the property of Aktis Scaffolding until full payment is received.

Scaffold Hire Period and Extensions

Your quotation specifies the agreed hire period for scaffolding equipment. Standard hire periods are typically calculated in weekly increments. If you require scaffolding beyond the initial hire period, please contact us to arrange an extension before the hire period expires.

Extended hire rates apply for periods beyond your original agreement. We understand construction projects can experience delays, so we offer flexible extension options. Failure to notify us of required extensions may result in additional charges.

Client Responsibilities

Clients engaging Aktis Scaffolding services agree to the following responsibilities:

• Provide safe and clear access to the site for installation and dismantling crews
• Supply accurate project information and notify us of any changes to requirements
• Ensure scaffolding is used only by authorised and competent persons
• Not modify, move, or alter scaffolding structures without written authorisation
• Report any damage, concerns, or safety issues immediately
• Protect scaffolding from misuse, vandalism, or unauthorised alterations
• Maintain appropriate insurance for work performed on the scaffolding

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your scaffolding installation, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover scheduling and preparation costs that have already been incurred.

We understand that circumstances change and will work with you to find alternative dates where possible. Multiple rescheduling requests may be subject to availability and may affect project pricing.

Insurance and Liability

Aktis Scaffolding maintains comprehensive public liability insurance and workers compensation coverage for all scaffolding operations. Our insurance protects against damage or injury arising directly from our scaffolding installation and dismantling work.

Clients are responsible for their own insurance coverage for work performed on the scaffolding by other contractors, tradespeople, or workers. We recommend verifying that all parties working on scaffolding have appropriate insurance and are competent to work at height.

Dispute Resolution Process

We are committed to resolving any concerns or disputes promptly and fairly. If you have any issues with our scaffolding services, please contact us directly so we can address them. Most concerns can be resolved through direct communication with our operations team.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, we agree to participate in mediation before pursuing any legal action. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any legal proceedings shall be conducted in New Zealand courts.

These Terms of Service apply to scaffolding services provided throughout the greater Wellington region, including Wellington CBD, Thorndon, Kelburn, Karori, Brooklyn, Island Bay, Miramar, Kilbirnie, Newtown, Berhampore, Mt Victoria, Oriental Bay, Khandallah, Ngaio, Wadestown, Johnsonville, Tawa, Porirua, Titahi Bay, Plimmerton, Pukerua Bay, Kapiti Coast, Paraparaumu, Waikanae, Raumati, Paekakariki, Lower Hutt, Petone, Eastbourne, Wainuiomata, Naenae, Taita, Stokes Valley, Upper Hutt, Silverstream, Heretaunga, and all surrounding suburbs and localities.
